This entity generally evolves with important signs of osteitis fibrosa, associated with a superimposed mineralization defect. Samples are characterized by areas of double tetracycline labeling -an expression of high turnover- adjacent to areas of diffuse labeling in non-lamellar bone, as well as wide bands where both labels merge together -an expression of poor mineralization.
